Depuis le samedi 30 Octobre, j’appartiens désormais à 2 villages, mon village natal Bafou dans la Menoua et Lenaledem, dans le Littoral…

Since Saturday, October 30, I now belong to 2 villages, my native village Bafou in the Menoua Division and Lenaledem my adopted village. My joy is unspeakable because on that day, His Majesty Forjinju, Chief of Lenalendem, kindly awarded me the honorary and special title of « Mefoo Mbouene nlaah », The Queen of PEACE, La Reine de la PAIX.

For me, this is a highly symbolic distinction on the hopes placed on me and WILPF Cameroon in promoting peace and the peaceful resolution of conflicts.

I discovered Lenalendem Palace, this place steeped in history and culture as part of the activities carried out by WILPF partners to mitigate the effects of the crisis shaking the South-West and North-West of Cameroon since 2017. Since this discovery, WILPF Cameroon has seized all opportunities every time they have come forward to take actions in support and solidarity for the internally displaced people of Lenalendem.

This is an opportunity to thank the Chief Forjinju who has always facilitated our visits and activities with the IDPS communities of Melong and for his commitment to WILPF Cameroon as an honorary member and man committed against the use of male and armed force for conflict resolution.
